The people who make Mementales books are as varied as the stories they tell. Here is an introduction.
Mementales was built on a simple conviction: the people behind a product are inseparable from the product itself. Every book we make is handled, at some point, by someone who cares whether it is right.
The Designers
Our design team combines training in editorial design, typography, and visual storytelling. They have worked on everything from newspaper supplements to museum catalogues. They bring that breadth to every commission, however small.
The Writers and Editors
Many of our editorial team come from journalism and publishing. They know how to shape raw material into narrative, how to find the story inside the story, how to make good writing feel effortless rather than laboured.
The Production Team
Our production team manages the physical making of each book. They work with printers, manage quality control, test papers and bindings. They are the people who ensure that what you hold in your hands matches what you imagined when you began.
What We All Have in Common
We have all, at various points in our lives, wished we had done more to preserve the stories of the people we love. That regret — quiet and persistent — is what drives us. We are not making products. We are preventing loss.
We are a small team. Every book we make has our name on it, and we mean that seriously.
