How a Mementales Book Is Made
By The Mementales Team
From the first conversation to the finished book — a look at the craft behind every Mementales creation.
Every Mementales book begins with a conversation. Not a form, not a template — a conversation. We want to understand not just what you want documented, but why it matters. What makes this relationship, this year, this person different from every other.
The Story Gathering Phase
We work with you to gather the raw material: photographs, stories, quotes, names, dates, the details that give a life its texture. This is the most important phase. Everything that follows depends on what we capture here.
The Design Phase
Our design team builds the layout — the visual architecture of your story. Every design decision, from the typeface to the colour palette, is made in service of the content. We adapt our design language to the character of each story; no two books look identical.
Editorial Review
Every page is reviewed by a human editor. We look for coherence, emotional arc, the right balance of image and text. We check every name, every date, every detail. Nothing goes to print that has not been read carefully by someone who cares about it.
Printing and Binding
We print on heavyweight archival paper. The binding is built to last — not to look good for a year and fall apart, but to be handed down in a generation. The finished book is checked cover to cover before it leaves our production studio.
Every book we make is made once. It cannot be reprinted; there is only one.
